Join us at Sarah’s Jazz Club on Friday, the 13th of June, for a drive down memory lane with Southern Rock, Blues and Classic Rock ballad covers performed by the Time Ride band.
The band members are all seasoned musicians who have been playing many styles of music across the island for years! They bring to the Club an unmissable lineup of songs from the golden age of rock music from the ’60s to the ’80s, the best of Southern Rock, and the Blues.
Sing and dance with their energetic interpretation of classic tunes from Elvis to Aerosmith, and anything in between!
Frontman George Charalambous is on lead vocals and acoustic rhythm guitar. Stavros Kouvelis is in charge of the electric lead guitar duties. We have the awesome groove man on the bass Constantinos Hadjigeorgiou. Finally, sitting on the drum throne, dictating the band’s rhythm is Andreas Tapa.
The band says, “As long as we can make it rock we will play it!”

What do a classical percussionist, a banker, a lawyer, a programmer, and a tutor and composer have in common? Passion for music, a sense of humour, a penchant for the oddball, and they are all coming to Sarah’s Jazz Club once again on Saturday the 14th, for an unforgettable evening of funk, soul, and Jazz.
Ladies & Gentlemen meet the Gandalfinis!
The Drummer Marios Nicolaou is a percussionist for the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra. The bass player and occasional vocalist Constantinos Messios is a lawyer. The Trumpet player Michalis Michael is a banker and the guitarist and vocalist Gregory Artemides is a programmer. On keyboards and vocals Argyro Christodoulides is the youngest member of the group and is a composer and academic.
Their repertoire is diverse and draws inspiration from a variety of cultural sources, just like the band’s name. The playful fusion of James Gandolfini’s character from The Sopranos and the wizard Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings came to Messios, who gave the band its name.
“Maybe we think of ourselves as street music wizards? Who knows?” – the band members laugh.
